On Tuesday, December 22, democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton announced that she wanted to double the amount of funding for Alzheimer’s, according to the Associated Press. This last year 586 million dollars were allotted to research for developing a cure for Alzheimer’s and the amount will increase to 936 million for 2016.
Hillary appealed to people saying, “We owe it to the millions of families who stay up at night worrying about their loved ones afflicted by this terrible disease.” The proposal was coupled with others that would also aid the families who care for those diagnosed with the disease.
Along the campaign trail Clinton has proposed other healthcare initiatives like her cap on prescription drugs while naming drug and health insurance companies as one of her top “enemies” she’s most proud of.
Of course there was no health initiative proposed for eradicating the infectious diseases that arrive in the US everyday. There was no action called for to understand the source of the numerous E. coli outbreaks being traced back to progressive restaurant franchise, Chipotle. The reason Clinton never beseeched Americans to sympathize with those carrying and infected by these diseases? They’re illegal immigrants.
Normally those immigrating legally, including refugees, are required to undergo a medical exam (under CDC supervision) while still in their country. This includes physical exams, skin tests, x-rays, blood tests and any required vaccinations as recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. In normal circumstances, immigrants and refugees are ruled out for drug addiction, syphilis, TB, gonorrhea, leprosy, cholera, polio, diphtheria, small pox and acute respiratory syndromes before even entering the United States. According to the Southern Medical Association, “We are starting to see scabies, chicken pox, MRSA and different viruses.” Where and in what numbers was not specified, but one thing is clear- “illegal immigration may expose Americans to diseases that have been virtually eradicated, but are highly contagious.”
According to the U.S. Border Patrol “gotaway” ratio, which states 1.5 illegals escape capture for every one illegal that is detained, 700,000 illegal immigrants enter the U.S.-Mexico border annually. ANNUALLY.
Is it really any wonder why Chipotle, who was once notorious for hiring illegal immigrants, has had to close at least 43 restaurants due to E. coli outbreaks traced back to it’s premises? Perhaps they’re correct in assuring us their fresher food choices played a part in it. It’s also possible that it’s personnel related. So far, we’ve been given no definitive answer as to the source.
There’s a reason why soldiers returning from service in World War 2 were given discharge exams. TB was a common bacterial disease back in the day and doctors understood how easily it spread. “Catching people with tuberculosis before they returned home and could spread it to their loved ones was a key part of the Army Medical Department’s strategy.” According to a health report written by CR Byerly in the US National Library of Health.
Yet today Americans are unaware of the health hazards that are walking through our borders each day. Instead, we’re distracted by politicians who urge us to prioritize a less immediate danger. If I’m labeled heartless for suggesting we deal with a threat that’s staring us in the face, one that plays in the park with our children or is employed at our local businesses, then so be it. Like cancer research, Alzheimer’s will likely, and suspiciously be elusive for some years. The threat of infectious diseases entering our country, however, can end when we begin sending Hillary’s and Obama’s precious illegal immigrants back to their native country.
This is no surprise though, given Hillary’s radical views on immigration. She’s even gone so far as to say “I will go as far as I can, even beyond President Obama,” in regards to amnesty policies. This is due to the fact that Clinton sees illegals as benefactors who play a part of her multicultural America narrative instead of that lice-ridden friend your mom won’t let inside the house.
