Women’s roles in the military were debated today at the Senate of Armed Services Committee hearing, giving military officers a chance to testify after Defense Secretary Ashton Carter’s decision in December to open all military positions, including combat, to women.
As a result of this tremendous step towards equality, top military officers are now arguing that, if women are allowed to enroll in training for combat, they should have to register for the Selective Service, aka- the draft.
A proponent of the idea, Marine Gen. Robert Neller responded to the committee saying:
“Senator, it’s my personal view that, based on this lifting of restrictions … every American who’s physically qualified should register for the draft,”
“Now that the restrictions that exempted women from that don’t exist, then you’re a citizen of a United States…It doesn’t mean you’re going to serve, but you go register.”
Preceding the hearing, Navy Secretary Ray Mabus instructed Neller earlier this year to identify military titles that weren’t gender neutral and to update them to reflect the new integration policies:
“As we achieve full integration of the force … this is an opportunity to update the position titles and descriptions themselves to demonstrate through this language that women are included in these MOSs..Please review the position titles throughout the Marine Corps and ensure that they are gender-integrated as well, removing ‘man’ from the titles and provide a report to me as soon as is practicable and no later than April 1, 2016.”
Examples would include changing titles like reconnaissance man, fire support man, etc. but not iconic titles like infantryman or rifleman. Yes, please, we wouldn’t want to offend anyone with such insulting titles like reconnaissance man.
If there were truly no differences between men and women, like we’re told, this would be a great victory. However, the facts just don’t support these new policies. During a study on gender integration, the Marine Corps found:
-all male squads performed 69% higher on tasks
-all male squads were faster
-all male (rifleman) squads were more accurate
-all male infantry squads engaged targets quicker and registered more hits on targets.
another statistic that feminists don’t like to see:
females undergoing entry-level training were injured at more than six times the rate of male counterparts, with 27% of those injuries attributed to the task of movement under load.
SIX TIMES THE RATE OF MALE COUNTERPARTS
Feminists and other progressives clearly don’t see the irony behind such a policy. Female integration in the military, specifically combat positions, are very anti-woman. Not only are they out performed in nearly every category, but they put themselves and their squad at great risk. The equality that feminists have advocated for has culminated into a march to their own death. If this sounds like an exaggeration, it isn’t. Fact is, the study was done under controlled conditions. Imagine for a moment what the result would be if carried out during actual combat. It’s time we accept that men are just biologically built to be faster, stronger and happen to be more accurate.

Feminists, though, are more interested in the insistence that gender roles are purely social and not biological. Instead of celebrating their own unique and innate qualities, they champion for a true and pure equality. They’d better be prepared then, according to Army Secretary John McHugh who noted that the logical result of this equality would be a good look at the draft:
“If your objective is true and pure equality, then you have to look at all aspects and at some point Selective Service will have to be one of those things considered very carefully,”
Feminists may be willing to fight for equal rights but are they willing to march to battle? More importantly, are they prepared to advocate women everywhere line up? It’s one thing to fight for equality and quite another when it means sending a sister, daughter or mother to her death.
So, now that you’ve got what you’ve wanted, are you happy?
